Black Ops 6 players have hit out at the “dumbest” change that the devs could have made for Call of Duty ahead of Season 3.

Over the last few years, Call of Duty has followed Fortnite and other live service titles by getting deeper and deeper into the microtransactions side of things with a huge focus on skins and cosmetics.

This increased focus on new skins has annoyed plenty of players for various reasons. Some have been frustrated by the switch away from military-themed characters, while others want them to carry forward from game to game.

The latter has been particularly frustrating given that Warzone has been able to carry weapons forward, but not skins. This means players have just lost money to the ether.

Well, just days before the start of Season 3, the argument has been raised again, with players once again annoyed that guns from Modern Warfare (2019) will be usable in Warzone, but their original skins won’t be.

“So we can use MW2019 guns in BO6, but when it comes to operators it’s too far? This is the dumbest decision they could’ve made,” Redditor Ghost_L2K said. “We literally have Woods in MWIII, we can play as a fucking dragon in BO6. But these two mil-sim skins are too far?”

Others agreed. “I want all the skins that I bought in previous versions to carry over into new versions!” one said. “This is some bullsh*t,” another said. “You don’t understand, we NEED Warzone 1 nostalgia bait!” another added.

The return of the Domino operator had been celebrated by plenty of fans, but they’re less excited about the return of the Roze skin.

That skin, which was pay to win at the best of times, isn’t undergoing any changes. Plus, you’ll have to splash the cash for it all over again if you want to use it in the returning Verdansk.
